At just 15 years old, Happy set out to start a nonprofit supporting low-income families, despite not knowing where to begin. Growing up in a predominantly low-income community, she witnessed firsthand how family circumstances impact youth, shaping both their academic performance and personal development. Inspired by her mother, she felt driven to support more students and families facing similar challenges.

She first identified community needs through surveys and parent interviews while researching how to build a nonprofit and learning from other youth leaders. Over time, Happy built a team of over 30 students, launched multiple programs, and incorporated The RED Project. As she works toward 501(c)(3) status, she remains committed to expanding her impact, starting with youth and reaching families on a broader scale.
